EYES AFTERCARE
Please follow these instructions after the procedure to improve and prolong the results of your permanent makeup.
Neglating can greatly affect your results, put you at risk for infection, scarring or loss of pigmentation!
Initial 24-48 Hours:
Minimize Swelling: Apply a cool compress (wrapped ice pack) to the treated area for 15 minutes at a time, repeated every hour for 4-5 hours, focusing on reducing any swelling.
Eye Lubrication: If experiencing dryness, use lubricating eye drops recommended by your ophthalmologist or technician.
Minimize Touching: Avoid touching the treated area unless your hands are thoroughly cleansed with soap and water. This reduces the risk of infection.
Gentle Cleansing: Before bedtime, gently cleanse the treated area with lukewarm water only. Avoid harsh soaps, cleansers, or rubbing. Pat dry with a clean, lint-free paper towel.
Next 7 Days:
Makeup Restriction: Abstain from using mascara, makeup, and cleansers directly on the treated area for at least 7 days. This allows for proper healing and pigment retention.
Eyelash Enhancements: Avoid applying false eyelashes or using eyelash curlers for the first 7 days.
Minimize Sweating: Avoid excessive sweating activities like strenuous exercise, saunas, solariums, or hot showers for 10 days. Sweat can disrupt healing and pigment retention.
Hygiene: Maintain good hygiene by washing your face with a gentle cleanser, avoiding the treated area, and changing your pillowcase regularly to prevent bacteria transfer.
Minimize Dust Exposure: Avoid dusty environments, as dust particles can irritate the healing area.
General Practices (Next 30 Days):
Facial Treatments: Refrain from facial treatments like peels, microdermabrasion, or lash lifts for 30 days.
Sunscreen: Once healed, wear sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher around the eyes daily to prevent fading.
Sleeping Position: Try sleeping on your back to avoid putting pressure on the treated area.
Contact Lenses: Discuss contact lens usage with your technician based on the specific procedure.
Touch-ups: Schedule a touch-up appointment 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure, as advised by your technician.
Additional Considerations:
Seek Guidance: If you experience any redness, swelling, excessive discharge, or unusual symptoms, contact your technician immediately.
Individualized Instructions: While these guidelines offer a general framework, always follow your technician's specific aftercare instructions, as they may personalize them based on your individual procedure and skin type.
By following these best practices and adhering to your technician's personalized instructions, you can ensure optimal healing and beautiful, long-lasting results from your permanent eye makeup procedure.
