EYEBROWS AFTERCARE
Please follow these instructions after the procedure to improve and prolong the results of your permanent makeup.
Neglating can greatly affect your results, put you at risk for infection, scarring or loss of pigmentation!
First 24-48 hours
Avoid touching: Resist the urge to touch or rub your eyebrows, as this can introduce bacteria and hinder healing.
Gently cleanse: After 24-48 hours, you can start gently cleansing the eyebrows with water before going to bed without using soap. Pat the area dry with a clean, lint-free paper towel.
Moisturize: After 24 hours you can start applying a thin layer of ointment, like petroleum jelly or a product recommended by your technician, 2-3 times a day for 5-7 days. Avoid over-application.
First 7 Days
Keep the area dry: Avoid showering, swimming, saunas, or hot tubs.
Gently cleanse: Use a mild, fragrance-free cleanser twice a day to clean the treated area. Pat dry with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Avoid touching: Do not rub, pick, or scratch the treated area. This can cause scarring or infection.
No makeup: Avoid applying makeup directly on the brows during the healing process.
Avoid sweating: Avoid strenuous exercise, hot showers, saunas, swimming pools, and hot tubs for at least 7-10 days. Sweat can disrupt healing and pigment retention.
No sleeping on your face: This can irritate the treated area and disrupt healing.
Healing: Allow any scabbing to fall off naturally. Picking or scratching can disrupt healing and cause scarring.
General Aftercare
Avoid sun exposure: Protect your brows from direct sunlight for at least 4 weeks. Wear a hat or use sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
No exfoliating: Avoid using harsh skincare products or exfoliants on the brows.
Monitor for signs of infection: Look for redness, swelling, or pus. If you experience any of these, contact your doctor immediately.
Additional Tips
Listen to your body: If you experience any discomfort, itching, or redness, contact your permanent makeup artist.
Be patient: The full results of your Ombre Brows may not be visible for up to 6 weeks, as the pigment settles and the skin heals.
Touch-ups: A touch-up appointment may be necessary 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure to perfect the shape and color.
